The sculptures are recognisable as insects or small animals. I classify them after only one characteristic: how many wings?
This is play and it is not my goal to achieve a scientifically correct reproduction. Rather I see myself making suggestions and therefore give just enough information for recognition while at the same time giving details which are purely imaginative. My priority is that in the process, the fundamental characteristics of a hard-cover book do not get lost. Strictly speaking it is still a book - with a spine, a binding, pages and covers. My sculptures can be classified in three simple categories:
